Knoxville’s Assistant City Manager, Dylan Feik, says work has begun on the broken up city streets throughout Knoxville. He says every spring the damage caused over the winter is evident in the many potholes that appear. Feik says this year, there are more than usual, and right now city crews are busy patching up streets around town. He says this time of year they use a cold asphalt mix, which unfortunately doesn’t last as long as the hot mix that is used in the summer, but it gets those holes repaired so cars aren’t damaged and pedestrians aren’t injured.

He says if you have unrepaired potholes, you can visit the city’s website and report it. To do so, visit www.knoxvilleia.gov, click on “INFORM,” and under the Notify Me section, on the left side of the page is a link called “Report A Concern.” You can submit your request here.
