One major change for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad next season will be the teams the Panthers play. After spending nearly 20 years in the Little Hawkeye Conference, Knoxville will re-join the South Central Conference. The Panthers were in the South Central until 1996 and for Coach Jim Utiermarkt he is excited to be playing against schools that he grew up playing against when he was in high school. Utiermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that another difference between Little Hawkeye Conference and South Central Conference is the turnover in players. He says the Little Hawkeye Conference will be dominated with upperclassmen next season, while the South Central will be dominated with a lot of underclassmen since many of the top players will graduate this year.
