A bill that would allow a state tax break of up to $2 million to help pay for a major expansion project at the Knoxville Raceway has passed out of an Iowa House Ways and Means Subcommittee Monday. Raceway General Manager and Promoter Brian Stickel. He says it will now go to the full Ways and Means Committee, he hopes this week, but cannot be certain. If approved, the bill would provide a rebate up to $2 million in state sales tax, and would cover up to a quarter of the cost of the expansion project. House file 2281 was introduced last month by Representative Greg Heartsill.
