With not much senior leadership back on the court for the Pella Christian girls’ basketball team, Coach Kevin Van Maanen still had several weapons at his disposal to make his team dangerous for the 2013-14 season. Returning this year were Lauren Jungling and Tessa Howerzyl, two main players last year during the Eagles’ run to the state tournament. Van Maanen says all three of them were huge in establishing an early identity this past season. The Eagles lose Jungling and Savanna Baugh, but bring back ten juniors who will be seniors next season.
