Knoxville Raceway’s opening night is April 19, and it is also the third Pella Motors Race for Your School night. General Manager and Promoter Brian Stickel says about 100,000 coupons have been sent out to area schools, and for each $15 adult ticket purchased with this coupon, $5 goes back to whatever organization is designated on the coupon, whether it’s the school, a booster club or an athletic team. Stickel adds that there is also a little friendly competition – the program with the most donations will get an extra $300 from the racetrack; $200 to second place, and $100 to third place. Stickel says this is also the first of the free kids’ nights; kids ages K – 12 are admitted free.
