We were all not-so-pleasantly surprised by a nice coat of snow on our lawns yesterday morning, and for the track and field athletes for our local high schools, it means practices will be held inside. Twin Cedars’ track coach, Aaron Allspach is among the many coaches that don’t like holding practices inside. In fact, even with colder weather in the area, he says he would still like to get his team outside so they can get used to running and competing in these conditions, because their first few track meets will be exactly like the weather we’re experiencing lately. Allspach says the warmer weather last week was a nice change from last year because they could actually be outside to practice. Twin Cedars’ boys’ track and field opens up the season this Monday with a meet at Pekin.
