When Seth Carson graduated last summer, he left first base open to be filled this season for the Central baseball team. Though it still is early on in the year, Coach Adam Stevens does have some options and has been exercising them over the first few weeks of the season. Coach Stevens adds that they’ve been switching between both Seuferer and Brown to see who will take charge at the position. Brown is hitting .314 on the year and Seuferer is at a sultry .412, though both players are virtually even in extra-base hits and RBI’s. Central will be in action at home for the first time this season tonight when they host Grinnell at 4:00 p.m.
