Just two Pella Christian girls’ basketball players had postseason experience coming into this 2013-14 campaign. Team captains, Tessa Howerzyl and Lauren Jungling were called upon by Coach Kevin Van Maanen to help guide the other inexperienced Eagles on what to expect out of playoff basketball in Class 2A. However, Coach Van Maanen says that with the level of difficulty the Little Hawkeye Conference was at this year, he told his girls that they were plenty ready to hang with anyone. The Eagles do lose Knoxville off of their schedule for one game next season, but will be throwing several difficult non-conference games into the mix for 2014-15 to go along with what is shaping up to be another rough gamut of games inside of the conference next year.
