Finishing second in the conference and just one game away from the Class 1A state boys’ basketball tournament, the Pleasantville boys’ hoopsters were awarded several Pride of Iowa Conference honors for 2013-14. Dylan Lauer made it to the first team all-conference as a unanimous choice. The senior scored 15 points per game on average and led the league in rebounding , grabbing almost 11 per contest. Trevor Zoss was the Trojans’ leading scorer with 16 per game, good for fourth best in the P-O-I. For as much as Zoss has scored, he also was a team player, with 105 assists total, best on the team and third highest in the league. Josh Luna was a unanimous choice for the second team all-conference. Luna had the sixth most assists in the conference and averaged 12 points per game as a junior. Pleasantville went 20 – 4 this season.
