xWhile success has followed Coach Dan Calhoun and his Pleasantville girls’ golf team over the last several years, the size of the bull’s-eye on the backs of his squad has grown each season. This year, coming off a 2013 season that saw the Trojans make it to the state tournament, Pleasantville returns all but one duffer off of that team. Coach Calhoun says the team’s goals, though, are still the same: to win the Pride of Iowa Conference and to make it back to the state tournament. Winning the league will be a tad tougher this season, says Calhoun, as a few other squads were also at the state meet in Class 1A and 2A. The Pleasantville girls’ golf team will begin their season a little later than usual, with a dual meet against PCM on April 14 in Monroe.
