Quadrupling their win output from last year, the Pleasantville girls’ basketball team made a lot of strides from where they were a year ago. The Trojans looked more comfortable with one another on the court offensively, which led to an increase in statistics. They scored four more points per game, were a better rebounding team, had more assists and fewer turnovers than in 2012-13. Coach Aaron Fichter says that even though winning just four games isn’t much to write home about, he and the other coaches still saw progress. Pleasantville loses two seniors, Irie Robinson and Beth Kreykes, who combined to score four points per game and will return their two top scorers for 2014-15.
