An increased production from Kennedy Core and Trisha Kunze was part of the reason the Pleasantville girls’ basketball team won four times as many games in the 2013-14 season as compared to their 2012-13 output. Another big reason was the guidance from their two seniors, Irie Robinson and Beth Kreykes. Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that though they didn’t make a big impact offensively for the team on the scoreboard, the two twelfth-graders helped steer the team in the right direction in some close contests with their leadership. The Trojans will return three juniors, six sophomores, and two freshmen to the team this fall when the 2014-15 season starts up.
