Pella Christian’s boys’ basketball team really picked up steam towards the end of the season. Coach Larry Hessing concurs that his Eagles were playing their best basketball when the regular season ended, even though it ended in a loss to Grinnell. He says that game and another big playoff match were the two contests that were in the front of his mind as a pair of his team’s better played games this past season. Coach Hessing adds that it was more of the improvement over the last two or three weeks of the season that really left a good taste in the mouths of the coaching staff.
