A familiar face is back in the hallways of Pella High School. Michael Vint, former Lady Dutch basketball and golf coach, is back at the helm for girls’ golf this season. Vint tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that numbers were down at first, but Kylie Roslien went out and recruited several ladies and now the team has swelled to 12 athletes. Vint says the reason he came back was because he was tired of “being retired.” The Lady Dutch coach adds that he’s excited to see how much improvement the team makes over the course of the season and knows if the girls do improve each time out, they’ll be very successful in the win column. Pella’s girls will officially start their season on April 10 on the road in a dual meet against Newton.
