June 25th and 26th, Lake Red Rock will host a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Professional Development Opportunity for teachers from Kindergarten up through eighth grade featuring “Engineering is Elementary.” The course is offered in partnership with Central College’s Department of Education and the 3M Visiting Wizards. The workshop will be held from 9am to 2pm each day, will include indoor and outdoor classroom activities, and acoustical engineering will be the topic highlighted. Ranger Tracy Spry tells KNIA/KRLS that this is also an opportunity to earn continuing education credit through Heartland AEA. To register, or for more information, you can contact the Corps of Engineers at 828-7522.
