Area track teams get one last chance to get events qualified for the Drake Relays which take place next week. Pella High’s girls’ and boys’ track teams will head to two separate locations looking to get the events that may be on the fence pushed over to compete on the famous Blue Oval. The Little Dutch are in the peculiar position of being perhaps the smallest school in attendance in their meet at Waukee tonight. Coach Brent Van Hauen says he and his guys are ready for the challenge. Coach Dak Rasmussen and his Lady Dutch will go to Newton for their meet after dissecting the competition at Pella Christian on Tuesday. He says there is a bit of added pressure the girls are shouldering trying to get events to Drake. Both Pella High teams will begin events today at their respective locations at 4:30 p.m.
