A year of success for Central athletics keeps on trucking, as they say. The Central softball team climbed one rung in the most recent National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III rankings from 12th to 11th. They traded places with Iowa Conference rival, Coe, who now sits at twelfth, while Luther is tied for fifth. Central’s men’s track and field team ascended two spots to sixth in the Division III polls for outdoor track and field. The Dutch most recently finished ninth out of 32 teams in the Washington-St. Louis invitational. The only other league school in the polls is Wartburg who is ranked 12th.
