Mother Nature can be quite cruel sometimes. When the Pella Christian boys’ and girls’ golf teams last played, it was in the 50s, some sunshine, but still a little chilly. After that, five consecutive days of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Fast forward to this afternoon, temps are back into the 50s and will dip as the day goes on. The Eagles’ boys will be facing a pair of conference schools in a triangular meet today against Dallas Center-Grimes and Oskaloosa. Coach Jim Dingeman says early on and as the season progresses, the years his seniors and juniors have played on the team will be a huge advantage against the bigger schools. The Eagles’ girls will also play in a triangular conference meet with Knoxville and Newton at the Pella Golf & Country Club. Both meets will tee off at 4:15 p.m.
