Edmundson Golf Course welcomes a full buffet of area high school girls’ golfers for an invitational tournament today. Pella, Pella Christian, Knoxville and PCM will join Albia, Norwalk, Centerville, Ottumwa, Winterset and the host Oskaloosa Indians in Mahaska County for an 18-hole tournament. It will be the first meet of this length for the Lady Dutch, and Coach Mike Vint says it should help him figure out some position battles further on down the varsity roster. Mustangs’ coach, Val Edwards has a team full of girls that have not played on the Oskaloosa course, so she says she doesn’t know what to expect. Today’s invitational is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. tee-off.
