Good Friday is this week, and the Knoxville Ministerial Association has organized an Ecumenical service that will be held at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. Celebrate Church Pastor Andrew Schmidt says leaders from eight different churches decided to try something different this year that is open to the entire community, regardless of denomination or church affiliation. Schmidt says it will be a simple, reflective, one-hour service, beginning at 7, that focuses on the main message of Good Friday, which is Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. Schmidt says there will also be a variety of musicians, from a choir to an acoustic guitar, as well.
