Habitat for Humanity of Marion County broke ground on it’s 43rd home last weekend in Pella. Upon completion, the home will be purchased by Paula Oellerich. Her two teenage children joined her at the ceremony, along with family, friends, and co-workers from Vermeer. Ollerich says “the ceremony itself was very touching, and the fact that a lot of people from my work and Bob Vermeer came, that really meant a lot. I’m just really glad an organization like Habitat exists because it helps a lot of people and it’s definitely going to help us.” Vermeer represented the Vermeer Charitable Foundation at the groundbreaking along with Vermeer Chaplain Kevin Glesener who led the group in prayer.
