All 3 Knoxville HS Sporting Events Fall To Weather Today

The tennis season for the Knoxville girls was supposed get underway today with the Panthers hosting Centerville. However, due to cold temperatures and the threat of rain the meet has been postponed to April 14th. Knoxville is coming off a season that saw more individual state qualifiers and a better finish in the conference. Coach Nick DeMoss tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that much of the experience is back this season. DeMoss ads seven freshmen also have come out this spring. He says they are taking to the game well. Two more Knoxville teams will have to wait to start their 2014 seasons. The boys tennis squad under new coach Greg Higgenbotham had to postpone their meet at Centerville due to the weather until April 14th, the Panther girls golfers meet at Albia have been moved to April tenth.
