Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA KRLS News that there is a new police cruiser in the fleet, but as of right now it is unmarked. It’s a new white Chevy Impala, and it does have a light bar on the roof. Chief Losada says they plan to have the reflective decals put on this week. He says until that is done, he has cautioned his officers to be extra careful when on patrol, because without the reflective markers, it can be hard to see at night. Chief Losada would like to urge the public to be aware as well, and to watch for the car around town; because even though it is not marked yet, it is a police vehicle.
