Knoxville’s Prom is Saturday evening. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA KRLS News that this year Park Lane Drive will be blocked off between Robinson and Madison Streets for the duration of the walk-in. He says prom goers will drive north in the southbound lane of Park Lane Drive to allow friends and family members see them in their cars, then they will pull into the circle drive at West Elementary where valets will take the cars to the student lot at the High School. Prom goers will walk south along Park Lane to the sidewalk leading to the east side of the High School and enter through the east doors. Chief Losada says public parking will not be allowed on Park Lane Drive or in the student lot of the High School during the walk-in.
