Out of 4900 beers, from 62 countries, Knoxville’s Peace Tree Brewing was awarded one of 94 gold medals at the World Beer Cup. The winning beer was Blond Fatale. The brew topped the Belgian-Style Blonde Ale or Pale Ale category, coming in first out of 46 entries. The Brewers Association developed the World Beer Cup International Competition in 1996 to celebrate the art and science of brewing by recognizing outstanding achievement.
