On a cold evening at Pella Christian High, the Pella girls’ track team ran away with a meet victory at the Eagles’ invitational yesterday. The Lady Dutch had 249 points, almost 120 more than second place Carlisle. First place finishes for Pella included Megan Kooker in the 200 meter dash, Tess Roorda in the 1,500, and Sydney Swanson in the 3,000. The Eagles’ girls won in the 100 and 400 meter dash, and finished third in team scoring. The Eagles’ boys finished fourth, PCM was third and Pleasantville was fifth. The Mustangs received ten points from Skyler Koder, who won the boys’ high jump. Patrick Sheehey for Pleasantville won the long jump. Chase Wetterling for Melcher-Dallas won the 400 meter dash. The Eagles’ boys were led by Eddie Pringle, who came in second in the 400, and they were the runners-up in the 4 x 200 and distance medley relays. Full results can be found below.
