Little Dutch Prevail Over Eagles’ Boys’ Golfers

Pella High’s boys’ golf team prevailed over Pella Christian in both schools’ opening meet last night in Oskaloosa. The Dutch shot a team score of 160, 12 strokes better than the 172 carded by the Eagles. Leading the way for Pella Christian was Mason Howerzyl, who ended up being the meet medalist with his impressive nine-hole score of 37. Justin Stravers was five strokes behind him with a 42. Sean Rennich was the meet runner-up for Pella, leading the team with his score of 39. Corey Elliott and Colton Bradley each shot a 40 for the Little Dutch. The Eagles are off for over a week until their next meet on Tuesday, April 15 at Oskaloosa against the Indians and Dallas Center-Grimes.
