The Marion County Democrats Legislation Education Committee will hold a Public Education Conversation Wednesday evening at 6, at the Knoxville Middle School. The conversation will address concerns of increased testing, oversight and teacher assessments, and will address state supplemental aid, which is $1500 per pupil less than the national average. Democrat Megan Suhr tells KNIA KRLS News that all area administrators and teachers have been invited to attend. State Senator Tod Bowman and Representative Sharon Steckman, both on education committees in the Legislature, will be on hand to answer questions.
