Both the boys’ and girls’ duffers of PCM looked very good in their first meets of the season yesterday. At their home meet against Eddyville-Blakesburg and Lynnville-Sully, the Mustangs’ boys had a resounding win by 47 strokes. PCM shot a 158 as a team, led by Justin Beener’s 36, Ryan Jennings shot 38, and both Devon Woody and Wade Hill carded a 42. The Mustangs’ girls had the top three scores, but unfortunately fell by seven strokes to the Rockets, 219 – 226. Cassidy VanVeen led her team with a score of 46, Kelsey VanVeen shot a 50 and Breanna Maher carded a 53. Both squads are off until Monday; the girls are at Pleasantville and the boys go to Altoona for a tournament.
