Pella Boys Prevail Over Grinnell, Tigers’ Girls End Two Lady Dutch Soccer Streaks

The Pella boys’ and girls’ soccer teams had a split day with Grinnell on Tuesday. The Little Dutch won 4 – 2 over the visiting Tigers. Four different Dutch players scored a goal, including Anthony Bentzinger, Seth Johnson, Will Warner and Konstantin Buchholz. Johnson and Bentzinger each added an assist to their point totals. Grinnell’s girls scored the first and second goals of the season that were allowed by the Lady Dutch, which propelled them to a 2 – 0 win over Pella. With the win, Pella’s boys improve to 6 – 2, while the loss was the girls’ first to drop them to 5 – 1. The Little Dutch will play a make-up game with Gilbert tomorrow and the Lady Dutch are off until Saturday for tournament play.
