Great competition was everywhere you looked on Saturday morning at the Knoxville boys’ golf Invitational at Pine Knolls Country Club. Pella High’s squad finished first by ten strokes over second place Grinnell, with Pella Christian coming in a close third. Corey Elliott and Sean Rennich for Pella were the meet medalist and runner-up with their 18-hole rounds of 75 and 77, respectively. Justin Stravers was close with his round of 80 to lead the Eagles, and Mason Howerzyl shot an 82. Coach Jim Dingeman tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his team’s score of 328 for 18 holes was better than any 18 hole meet they had last year. Full results for both Pella and Pella Christian can be found below.
