The Pella Community School District discussed a bond sale during this weeks board meeting. Travis Squiers, the schools Financial Advisor from Piper Jaffray advised the board that they received several bids for approximately $10 million in bonds that were recently sold to remodel the middle school, Lincoln Elementary, and build the Career Academy. The winning bid was for 3.42% for a twenty year note, which was submitted by Robert W. Baird out of Milwaukee. Pella Superintendent Greg Ebeling tells KNIA/KRLS that Baird was the winning bidder on approximately $9 million dollars in bonds that were sold last year, and they expect to sell another $10 million in bonds in the near future.
