Sporting a pair of undefeated records, the Pella High boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will play in tournament action against some stiff competition this morning. For the Lady Dutch, they have scored seven goals through two games while only allowing one shot on goal on defense. Though their offensive output is good for this early in the season, Coach Mark Howard says the goal for his team today is to make the opposing defense work. The Lady Dutch will see Centerville and Des Moines Lincoln at Pella High Stadium starting at 9:00 a.m. The Little Dutch will head to Des Moines and the James Cownie Soccer Park, and could see a wide variety of schools, including Abraham Lincoln, Davenport North, Des Moines Lincoln, Sioux City West and Des Moines Roosevelt. The boys will begin tournament play at ten.
