Preparation continued for Tulip Time in Pella. Among the most visible of activities on Monday was the placement of the grandstands. Gerald Pleima, with Facilities Planning and Management at Central College, helped coordinate the effort. Pleima told KNIA/KRLS News that placement takes about six hours, and involves six men working, and one tractor to bring the grandstands from the Fieldhouse at Central College.
