In some capacity, the Pleasantville boys’ and girls’ golf teams will play Carlisle this afternoon. The Trojans’ boys will host the Wildcats and Knoxville at the Pleasantville Country Club for their third meet of the young season. Cassin Garr and Joe Day each shot a nine-hole round of 46 last Friday and are trying to improve on that and come away with medals and a pair of victories over two bigger schools. Coach Dan Calhoun for the Trojans’ girls was extremely happy with how his lady duffers looked on Tuesday in their inaugural meet of the 2014 season. All six varsity golfers shot under 60 for Coach Calhoun, with the top four being in the 40s. Both meets will get going today at four.
