Mark Jacobs, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate, tells KNIA/KRLS that he believes that minimum wage is something worth discussing, however, he doesn’t think that it’s the problem, but rather a symptom of the real problem, which he feels is a lack of “good jobs.” He adds that supporting community colleges and vocational schools is something he wants the federal government to do more of. He says that when he ran Reliant Energy, there were several jobs with good wages, and benefits, but there wasn’t a trained pool of candidates to fill the positions.
