The Central women’s golf team had a rough go at it on Saturday’s opening round of the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling. The Dutch shot a 372, which placed them in 13th in the 19-team field. Taylor Hill had the best score for Central with an 18-hole round of 85. They will try to conclude the tournament this morning. On the men’s side, they were just 18 strokes off of first place and settled for a second-place tie with Iowa Conference foe, Simpson on Saturday’s finale of the Wartburg Invitational. Central shot a 301 and 302 in the tournament, and were led individually by Adam Squires, who shot a 146 to finish tied for fourth out of 97 golfers.
