Knoxville thrower Nathan Winters finished 17th in the high school portion of the discus event at the Drake Relays yesterday. Battling cold and rainy conditions Winters’ throw of 143 feet was his only successful throw as he fouled on his other two. Winters will return to Drake Stadium today in the shot put as will his teammates. Tanner Dunkin will run the 100 preliminaries this morning and the four-by-100 team of Dunkin, Connor Bailey, Nolan Wallace, and Jerry Nichols will run the prelims this evening.
