David Ray Hawkins, age 19, from Knoxville man has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse in the 3rd degree. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA KRLS News that the victim made the initial report Monday morning at school, that an incident had happened over the weekend. Court documents show the victim is a 13 year old girl, and the assault took place around 4am Saturday. Chief Losada says Hawkins was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail. Court documents also show that bond has been set at $25,000, and Hawkins’ preliminary hearing is set for May 23 at 9:30.
