Runners had to battle chilly temperatures and persistent drizzle and rainfall, but new champions were crowned in the 21st Annual Klompen Classic Wednesday evening.

Jim Hibma with Crossroads Pella says that overall winners Danna Herrick of Urbandale and Kipp Schuler of University Park and overall masters Robyn Friedman of Newton and Todd Haugen of Des Moines each won a painted wooden shoe and a pair of running shoes from Brown’s Shoe Fit and The Sports Page.
