An arraignment hearing date is set for a Pella man accused of enticing a minor. 54-year-old Bennie Cross is charged with 12 counts of enticing a minor after Pella police arrested him on May 22nd. During a joint investigation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, an officer portraying a fifteen year old female conducted online conversations with Cross from April 6 to May 22nd. Police say during these conversations Cross attempted to entice what he believed to be a fifteen-year-old female to meet him at a pre-arranged location for sex. The arraignment hearing is set for Friday, June 6 at 1:30 p.m. Cross is currently being held at Marion County Jail on $250,000 bond.
