Central’s baseball team was able to fight their way back to the Iowa Conference championship game with Buena Vista, but they were pummeled by the Beavers to end their regular season. The Dutch started the day strong, defeating Loras in an elimination game, 6 – 1. Zach Zylstra was 4-for-5 at the plate with three RBI’s, and Blake Judkins had a solid seven-and-a-third innings pitched to loosen his team up offensively. Judkins was able to work out of danger quite a bit, as he gave up six hits and six walks during his stint on the mound, but only gave up two runs. Central, however, only mustered two hits in their 10 – 0, seven-inning loss to Buena Vista in the championship contest. The Dutch finish the season with a mark of 28 – 16.
