Central’s baseball wraps up their regular season with a huge four-game series against Wartburg starting this afternoon. There is quite a bit riding in this series for both teams; the Dutch, with their recent surge of 12 wins in their last 14 games, have put themselves in a position to perhaps jump the Knights for second place in the conference and earn a first round bye in the league tournament next week. Coach Adam Stevens hopes to use their speed to more of their advantage this weekend. The Dutch need a series win over Wartburg to earn that first round bye, they’ll start playing today at 1:00 p.m. Central’s softball team takes on Buena Vista in their round one contest in the Iowa Conference tournament.
