On the comforts of their home field, the Pella Christian boys’ soccer team begins their march through the postseason tonight against Williamsburg. The Eagles have been shrouded with injuries all season long and have not won since their opening season, 5 – 1 victory over PCM way back in early April. Coach Gerrit Brouwer says that despite their record, he has still seen incremental improvements from his team over the last several weeks. Brouwer adds that his team has learned to have short-term memories out on the pitch this year. Williamsburg comes into tonight with a 4 – 8 – 1 record. The winner faces Albia on Thursday in the district semifinals. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 6:00 p.m. this evening.
