On a rare Wednesday playing date, the Pella Christian and PCM’s boys’ golf teams will tee off in the first round of the postseason with today’s sectional meet at Jester Park in Granger. In addition to the Eagles and the Mustangs, West Marshall, C-M-B, North Polk, Colfax-Mingo and Clarke will all be in attendance, trying to be one of the top two teams to advance to Lake Panorama a week from Friday in the district golf meet. Coach Jim Dingeman says his guys just need to go out there and duplicate what they’ve done over the last six weeks. Should Des Moines Christian be one of the top two teams in the sectional standings, then the top three teams would advance to the districts next week. Today’s sectional tees off at 9:00 a.m.
