Central men’s track and field standout, Eli Horton, has been named the Central Region men’s track athlete of the year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the second time in as many years. Horton was also named the 2014 conference athlete of the year and was the indoor track athlete of the year this past season, as well. Horton earned All-American honors by finishing fourth in the 5,000 meter run. Horton returns this fall to begin his senior year at Central.
