Knoxville Boys And Girls Tennis Fall In Postseason Matches

Both the Knoxville Boys and Girls Tennis Squads ended their team seasons Saturday. The girls actually advanced in the first round of the class one-A regional over Albia 5-1 before falling to Mount Pleasant in the second round of action 5-2. Coach Nick DeMoss told KNIA/KRLS that was very pleased with how his girls played the last part of the season and hopes that they can come back next season as a team to advance on. Knoxville will now set its sights on the individual regional this Thursday in Pella. The boys also lost in their preliminary sub state match to Grinnell 5-0. The Panthers team season is also over however, Jared McClung will get to continue his season at the State Individual Meet May 30th and 31st.
