Saturday, Knoxville Raceway will partner with Pella Corp to benefit JDRF. General Manager and Promoter Brian Stickel tells KNIA KRLS News that this will be a race for the cure for diabetes, in conjunction with JDRF, and it’s the third of four kids nights, where kids of all ages get in free. Stickel says there will be a free-will offering meal to benefit JDRF from 5 to 7, before the races.

Spokesperson for Pella Corp. Kathy Krafka Harkema says it’s a great weekend to take in the races at Knoxville to raises funds for JDRF. She says the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame induction banquet will bring in famous racers from all over the United States. She adds that this has been a great weekend to take in the races because the summer heat hasn’t kicked into full gear just yet. Tickets to get into the race for adults cost $15, with $5 of every ticket benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Hot laps start at 6:45 and time trials start at 7:15 p.m. tonight.
