Pella’s girls’ and boys’ track and field teams will participate in one last meet before the Little Hawkeye Conference meet at home this Monday night. This evening, the Lady Dutch stay at home to host a plethora of area schools, while the boys head to Grinnell for their get-together. The weather has shown pockets of spring-time, but for the most part, it has been cold and cloudy with spits of rain falling at time. Lady Dutch coach, Dak Rasmussen says that the preparations and adjustments his girls have to make when going from warm weather to cold weather seemingly in the blink of an eye is all mental. Field events at Pella High begin at 4:15 p.m. with track events at 4:30. PCM and Twin Cedars are two other area schools that will be in attendance for the girls’ meet. Pella’s boys will start their meet at Grinnell at five.
