Starting out the regular season with a bang, the PCM baseball team took it to Nevada last night, 12 – 0. The Mustangs were able to take advantage of three Cubs errors while pounding out eight hits and putting up eight runs in the second frame. Zach Uhlenhopp, Jerod DeVries and Connor Warrick each had two hits for PCM. Austin Brown worked his magic on the mound, allowing only one hit in six innings and striking out 14. PCM is 1 – 0 and they will host Gilbert for a JV/Varsity doubleheader tonight starting at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity contest coming first.
